Hsu-Chun Yen (ÃC¶à¶v) was born in Taiwan, Republic of China, on May 29, 1958. He received the B.S. degree in electrical engineering from National Taiwan University, Taiwan, in 1980, the M.S. degree in computer engineering from National Chiao-Tung University, Taiwan, in 1982, and the Ph.D. degree in computer science from the University of Texas at Austin, U.S.A., in 1986. He is presently a Professor of Electrical Engineering at National Taiwan University, where he initially joined in August 1990. From August 1986 to July 1990, he was an Assistant Professor of Computer Science at Iowa State University, Ames, Iowa, U.S.A. His current research interests include automata theory and formal languages, Petri net theory, graph drawing, design and analysis of algorithms, and formal methods. |
