  • What is the purpose of the Institute of applied mechanics on Friday? That is, what kind of problem should I focus on? by 原忠
    => There are two phases. One is to learn something in coordination, control, communication, and sensing etc. in multi-vehicle systems. The other is to learn how to read papers and criticize papers, and to be familiar the process of writing a techniacal paper.

  • Up to now , the papers I have read almost list some references which authors have thoughts about them, even some inspirations. Is the phenomenon suitable ? by書賢
    => Right, a good and fast learing is from reading a lot of useful references such as papers, books, and also from dicussion with others. You shoud try establish your own ablity to justify good references from bad ones.

  • 我已經灌了 ns-2的 window 執行檔, 不過卻都是DOS的模式, 不是預期的視窗型, 可能還要再繼續看他的 tutorial. (不過他的東西也實在是太雜了,難怪是free的) by君威
    => I will try to see whether I can find some example files for you. Try to give me some details of the current status of the software installation. Then, I might be able to provide an insight feedback.

  • 對於大量的資訊, 常常不知不覺就被大量的資訊淹沒 不知道該如何在最短的時間內找到自己要的重點並有效率的整理吸收 ? by 輔城
    => 我的建議是,一點一滴的把小範圍的資訊慢慢吸收, 不要想心裡想著要一次就把所有的東西就完全吸收。 在接觸新資訊的第一時間就要把他們完全搞清楚, 就像上課一樣,一定要在課堂上學會所有的東西, 如果,您還是抱著回家自己看就會懂, 那您永遠都沒有機會弄懂得。 同時,對於唸過的東西一定要用自己的方式,歸納整理與勤做筆記, 最好能夠教會另外一個人, 因此,同儕間的相互討論就是互補與瞭解自己認知程度最好的方法。 我一直在等您們什麼時候才會在 Control Seminar 問問題, 可是,已經快一年了,您們都還是鴉雀無聲, 難道您們都完完全全聽懂了演講者所說的東西嗎? 如果懂了,那就很好, 可是,如果不懂,為什麼不把那些不懂的問清楚呢? 為什麼?為什麼?為什麼? 這是您們的學習態度的問題。加油了。

    => Of course, you can. You can use any schemes or methods you want. In additions, don't forget to discuss the advantages and disadvantages of using the methods you use and possible suggestion or improvement.

  • 找到有關 REM 的演算法, 不過關於 TCP 部分的模型, papers好像都沒有講到, 可能要自行代入Reno或是其他 TCP 的模式, 需要在考慮考慮. by君威
    => 很好,漸入佳境了。另外,我的感覺是您還沒找到有討論到 Drop Tail, Reno, Tahoe, Vegas 等 TCP 的 papers. 加油!

  • How could I promote the ability about mathematics which are directly perceived through the sense. by 原忠
    => 從基本定義著手,不要放過一個看似簡單的定義與定理, 常常問自己,為什麼那是對的,這是對的,為什麼要這樣定義這個東西呢? 學數學就像蓋房子, 要先學會一些基本功,而且,功夫是一點一滴累積起來的, 沒有人一下子就會看懂一個公式或者是一個定理, 這種功力是需要長時間,一點一滴累積下來, 不斷地看與學,而且是真正地看懂學會,不只是看過去而已。 所以,最重要的就是追根究底的精神了與不斷地互相討論。

  • Our lab is named as “NCSLab.” But it is not clear to me what the words “Networked Control Systems” mean. Could you explain? Thanks. by 原忠
    => 狹義來說,NCS specifies a control system where the control, sensing, and actuation signals are transmiitted by a communication network. Examples include communication networks, automation and manufacturing using networks, fly- or drive-by-wire in an aircraft or autombile.
    => 廣義來說,NCS classifies a control system that has several subsystems and where those subsystems have network-type or mesh-type interaction for achieving a command goal. Examples include intelligent tranportation systems, advanced large-scale manufacturing systems, biological ecosystems.

    => 基本上,我不反對您們在實驗室內穿著拖鞋, 但是,只要出去實驗室,就算只是倒個水或上個洗手間, 則不能穿著拖鞋到處跑,這是基本的禮貌。 至於,添購拖鞋一事,這是個人的用品, 還是您自己決定要不要或是選擇自己喜愛的,比較好一點。,

  • In ex5.5 of DCS, why use Hm(z) to design the controller and use the ZERO that we want? Can we don't use that form to design Hm(z)? by君威
    => Because we want "y" to follow "y_m" and "y_m" is specified by "y_m = H_m u_c". So, in order to let "y" follow "y_m", the designing of "R", "S", "T", or "A_o", "A_c" should consider the components of "H_m".

    => 基本上,我覺得兩年的碩士生涯有兩年可以獲得的成果, 如果您能專注於一個方面,但是不要把目標建立得太遠。 因此,任何的課題如果是您不知道的,都是值的您去深入研究與探討。 研究生的學習動機,主要是在其學習如何獲得知識的過程, 而較少在知識本身,幾年的時間,並不能學得多少新的知識, 但是,瞭解如何去有效地學習或求得新知識, 乃是您們未來真正能受用的能力。 例如,知道如何學習好 JAVA,遠比學好 JAVA 本身重要。 對於其他的技術也是一樣。 要比人強的地方就是知道如何去收集或學習新的東西, 而且能有效的利用它們。 想一想,您們對什麼東西比較有興趣,用您們最大的熱誠專心投入。 成就是一點一滴慢慢累積的,而不是可以一蹴而成。
