This is a course designed for students with computer networks background who would like to study the fundamental principles in multi-hop wireless networking. Through a systematic exposition of network protocols and their cross-layer interactions, this course provides students with a broad perspective on the active research areas in wireless ad hoc networks.
Topics covered in this course include: (1) wireless link and mobility models, (2) network simulation (3) medium access control protocols, (4) routing protocols, (5) transport protocols, (6) cross-layer optimization, and (7) advanced topics.
